Varsity House Gym is currently taking applications for
summer internships. If you have a true
passion for strength & conditioning, coaching, working with athletes,
nutrition, and the science behind human performance than maybe you fit the mold
to be a Varsity House coach. Applicants
must be self motivated, and willing to work HARD. Applicants must be perusing a career in
strength & conditioning, coaching, athletic training and or PT. Summer
Internships are non-paid internships. Your payment is knowledge.
We will teach you the Varsity House system of training. That includes: Program design and theory,
Proper exercise technique, Nutrition basics, The Business of Strength &
Conditioning (marketing and business development), and Coaching.
Applicants will have the opportunity to work with all-levels
of athletes and clients from Junior High to Pro athletes as well as those in
our adult training programs. Applicants
will be able to write, develop, and implement training programs.
Applicants must have the following minimum requirements:
1.
College Degree in progress in a sport science
related field. Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Biomechanics,
Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Human Physiology, and Biology.

3.0 GPA
3.
Junior or Graduating Senior.
4.
Able to work a minimum of 24hrs/week.
5.
Able to work during the following period: Start
May 18th – End August 16th
*Prior Athletic experience, Training Certification (NSCA, ACE, NASM),
and Coaching Experience a Plus*
