Coach Nicks Weekly Warrior Workout "Hump Day"

It’s Wednesday, hump day, middle of the week, the day you tune in to my blog to learn something new each week. This week for Coach Nick’s Warrior Workout Wednesday I want you to take a break from the weights. Make it a goal for today to mix things up and do something different. Each week we say we will change things up, rest a little more, or set a new personal goal. But some of us get into a groove and just feel comfortable with our own routine. Here are some examples of things you can do today that you will thank me for tomorrow. Remember, today we are actually going to do something different and not just say we are.  Mix it up and help your work week finish a little faster!

1. Go out for a walk/run around town.

2. Cook a nice homemade meal for a change. Something healthy.

3. Take a break from the gym and relax one night. Healthier than it sounds.

4. Go to a yoga class.

5. Go to a spin class.

6. Set some new weekly, monthly, and yearly goals for your fitness.

7. Meditate.

8. Do a bodyweight circuit. Pushups/pull-ups/sit-ups/jump rope/etc.

9. Attack the stadium stairs at your local football field or park.

10. Maybe for some of you it could be going to the gym instead of sitting on your ass!

For me I like to set challenges for myself such as the pushup/pullup challenge I did a few weeks ago. Here is a short clip of a new challenge I have attempted in completing my first set of Muscle ups. My goal is to be able to complete 10 straight next week. Stay tuned!
